CELTIC, Northeast Gaul. Suessiones. Circa 50-30 BC. Cast unit (Potin, 20 mm, 4.25 g, 6 h). Two confronted ibexes standing on their hind legs; above, pellet-in-annulet. Rev. Wolf and boar standing confronted with central pellet between. DT 211. LT 7458. SLM 268-269. A sharp and attractive example with beautiful earthen highlights on a near black patina. Extremely fine.
